LL-37 (5mg)
LL-37 is an antimicrobial peptide known for its ability to combat a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. As an antimicrobial peptide (AMP), LL-37 has the potential to serve as an alternative to traditional antibiotics by directly killing microbial pathogens. AMPs like LL-37 may also regulate bacterial and viral invasion, helping to control infections. Additionally, AMPs can activate the innate mucosal immune response, which is crucial for defending mucosal surfaces in the intestines, urogenital tract, and respiratory system—areas in contact with the external environment.
Common Indications/Treatments
Broad-Spectrum Antimicrobial Activity against bacteria, enveloped viruses, and fungi
Promotes Wound Healing
Helps Control Infections
Balances Tissue Inflammation
Inhibits Biofilm Formation
Important Information
Research indicates that LL-37 may be effective in treating certain types of cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of gastric cancer cells by activating bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling. However, overexpression of LL-37 has been linked to the promotion and progression of ovarian, lung, and breast cancers.
