Description
Chonluten is a short tripeptide bioregulator of gene expression, composed of glutamic acid–aspartic acid–glycine (Glu-Asp-Gly). It exhibits its highest activity in lung tissue, where it modulates genes involved in inflammation, antioxidant defenses, and mucosal repair, with secondary effects in the gastrointestinal tract.
Sequence
- Amino Acid Sequence: Glu–Asp–Gly (EDG)
- Other Names: Tripeptide T-34; EDG Peptide
Research & Applications
- Pulmonary Inflammation: Shown to regulate expression of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., TNF-α, IL-6) in bronchial epithelial models, improving mucosal barrier function in chronic inflammatory lung diseases.
- Gastrointestinal Protection: Demonstrates anti-inflammatory and antioxidant gene modulation in GI tissues, suggesting potential utility in research on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
- Gene Expression Modulation: Acts at the transcriptional level, influencing genes such as c-Fos and HSP70 to support proliferative and repair responses in vitro.
Recommended Usage
- In Vitro: 1 – 20 µM in cell culture or assay buffer.
- Dissolution: Soluble in sterile water or phosphate-buffered saline; gentle warming (~37 °C) may aid solubility.
- Compatibility: Suitable for serum-free and low-serum formulations.
Packaging & Storage
- Packaging: 10 mg amber glass vial with desiccant.
- Shelf Life: Up to 12 months unopened.
- Storage: Store at −20 °C; protect from moisture and light; avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

FAQ
1. What are research peptides?
Research peptides are short chains of amino acids used in scientific and medical research. They are not approved for human consumption or therapeutic use but are studied for their potential biological effects.
2. Is Reverse Peptides a trusted source for buying peptides online?
Yes. Reverse Peptides offers 99% purity, third-party tested, and USA-made peptides. Our products are backed by quality assurance and a loyal base of researchers
3. How do I store research peptides after receiving them?
Most peptides should be stored in a cool, dry place. Lyophilized powders are typically stable at room temperature but should be refrigerated for long-term storage. Always refer to the product label.
4. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit/debit cards and secure online payment options. All transactions are encrypted and secure.
5. Is a prescription required to purchase peptides from Reverse Peptides?
No. Since our peptides are sold strictly for laboratory research purposes, no prescription is required. However, buyers must be qualified researchers or institutions.
